Boundaries: The Lines That Define Us

Boundaries: The Lines That Define Us

Mar 13, 2024

Boundaries... They bend, they break,
But they're the foundations of the love we make.
They're the walls that guard against the hate,
Keeping us safe, helping us navigate.

Well-set boundaries clear the fog,
Kept ones dispel conflict, cut through the smog.
But when they're pushed or outright ignored,
That's when the strife gets its reward.

Boundaries aren't just a personal cue,
They're for others to understand you too.
They offer guidance, they give us might,
To stand firm in what we know is right.

With boundaries, our world becomes clear,
What we accept, and what we hold dear.
They evolve as we do, with self-respect's rise,
Changing with us, under life's skies.

To those who respect and love, they cheer,
Supporting our growth year after year.
So ask yourself, what are you putting up with,
That doesn't serve you, that's just a myth?

What lights your fire, what dims your day?
It's time to choose the former, come what may.
Set those boundaries, watch life simplify,
Become the 'you' that you can't deny.

Keep nurturing those boundaries, my friends. They're the silent guardians of your joy and peace. And remember, I'm here if you need to talk about setting or respecting them. Together, we'll make life a bit more 'us'.
